Patrick Knowles Designs announces interior refit of 46m Delta Marine yacht Driven

American design studio Patrick Knowles Designs (PKD) has announced that it will be leading the interior refit of the 45.8-metre Delta Marine yacht Driven.

The motor yacht was originally delivered in 2002 as Gran Finale, constructed in GRP to an exterior design by the American yard’s in-house team, in collaboration with Jay Minor, and outfitted with an interior design by J.C. Espinosa of Espinosa Yacht Design. She was sold in a deal between Burgess and HMY earlier this year, after 22 years with her original owner.

According to PKD, Driven's new owner is "steeped in the world of exotic, sports, and classic cars". As a result, works will take inspiration from automotive design, with the studio developing a "bold new interior narrative" styled with a contemporary and lighter aesthetic. Pedigree features of the yacht will remain, however, including her preserved millwork. PKD has pinned an early 2026 date for the unveiling.

While renders remain private for now, PKD has hinted at the new automotive-inspired features expected on board. A notable addition is the "Bugatti Bar"; located in the main saloon, it will feature an illuminated crystallo stone bar top and cream "strategically lit" alligator hides.

Polished stainless steel accents and custom-stitched leathers (from makers within the automotive industry) will be used across the furniture, cabinetry, and detailing, evident in the master suite with its stainless-steel inlays curved around the bed. Other works will be carried out within the two VIP suites, which will now host a bespoke rotating cylinder feature that spins to greet guests with a backlit onyx display accented with starlight panels, stitched leather, and stainless steel inlays.

PKD is no stranger to interior refits. Earlier this year, Abeking & Rasmussen unveiled the major works completed on board the 70.2-metre Lürssen superyacht Starfire, of which the studio was responsible for the brighter, nature-focused interior refurbishment.
