Ocean Alexander

Established in 1977 in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, Ocean Alexander is a premier builder of superyachts, with a portfolio ranging from 26.8 to 35.5 metres crafted in GRP. With facilities in Taiwan, Ocean Alexander stands at the forefront of the yachting industry, known for its spacious designs and meticulous craftsmanship.

History of Ocean Alexander

The inception of Ocean Alexander marked a pivotal moment in the Taiwan yacht sector. Founder Alex Chueh was approached by a close friend in a financial bind, seeking assistance during a challenging period. Demonstrating his deep commitment to friendship and his astute business acumen, Chueh agreed to take over the shipyard operations, thus laying the groundwork for what would become Ocean Alexander. Chueh soon met boat designer Ed Monk, Jr. and Ocean Alexander was born. In 1978, the company delivered its first vessel - a 12-metre fibreglass motor yacht, Mark I, designed by Monk. In 2000, leadership transitioned to Johnny Chueh, who has continued his father's legacy of innovation and excellence, steering the company to new heights.

Notable Ocean Alexander Yachts

In 2014, Ocean Alexander introduced the acclaimed OA 100’ Motoryacht at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, following the success of the popular 90' model. This yacht was designed by Evan K. Marshall and marked a significant advancement in the company's design capabilities. The same year, Ocean Alexander launched the 120’, another masterpiece by Evan K. Marshall in collaboration with Christensen Shipyard.

In 2015, the company unveiled the debut of the 112' Tri-Deck, challenging the norms of yacht design, and was in competition for yacht concepts up to 40 metres. It was later followed by the 2017 launch of the 112', also designed by Evan K. Marshall and built in Taiwan.

The brand’s Revolution series, which debuted in 2018 with the 90R, has been universally celebrated, with the 35R winning the "Best of Show" Award at the 62nd Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.

In 2024, the launch of the Puro series, particularly the 35P designed by Giorgio M. Cassetta, underscored Ocean Alexander’s commitment to catering to a global market, maintaining its position at the forefront of yacht manufacturing.
