Jongert sailing yacht Azzura sold

The 29.26 sailing yacht Azzura, listed for sale by Ann Avery at Northrop and Johnson, is sold in an in-house deal with Hank Halsted representing the buyer.

Designed by Doug Peterson, she was built in aluminium to Lloyds class by the renowned Dutch yard Jongert and launched in 1998. Together with her tall cutter rig, slim-line freeboard and low-profile deckhouse, she offers outstanding performance combined with luxury and comfort throughout. An interior design by Peter Sijm sees the dining area in the calm, mahogany paneled saloon fitted with two C-shaped settees opposite each other, providing plenty of elbow room and keeping the conversation flowing. There is also a wet bar with individual stools to port.

Outside, the large aft cockpit has ample room for six guests to dine al fresco. She also features a retractable cockpit roof, interior and exterior helm stations with excellent visibility and Stoway Rondal in-mast furling. In addition, her patented Jongert folding keel gives her access to all those romantic but shallow anchorages.

A refit in 2007/2008 saw her receive new decks, rigging, paint, generators and much more. Azzura sleeps six guests in a master suite and two twin cabins, all with en suite facilities. In addition, there are crew quarters for four in two bunk bedded cabins, each with an en suite shower room. The galley is set to starboard with a dinette area for the crew to port. Under power, a single 345hp MTU engine gives her a cruising speed of 8 knots.

Azzura was asking €2,500,000
