The 30.1-metre Ferretti 1000 motor yacht H&CO has been destroyed following a crash in Elafonisos, Greece, on 11 February.
Video footage from onlookers unveiled pieces of the Ferretti build scattered across rocks in the water near Cape Agia Marina - an area known for its rugged and rocky coastline.
According to local reports, the crash was attended by the Hellenic Coast Guard, private vessels and an Air Force Super Puma helicopter. Four crew members were on board at the time of the incident, though all were rescued and no injuries have since been reported.
Full details of the incident remain under investigation, though local media outlets reported that the yacht had suffered a mechanical failure and began taking on water.
The country was also reported to have been suffering with "severe weather" at the time of the incident, with the Greek island itself experiencing "huge waves" and strong south-westerly winds of six to seven Beaufort.
According to BOATPro, the last reported signal of H&CO was at 4:51pm on 11 February from the site of the incident.
Delivered in 2022 by Italian shipyard Ferretti Yachts, H&CO marked the fifth hull from the Ferretti 1000 series. She was constructed in GRP, built to a design by Filippo Savetti with naval architecture from Ferretti Engineering Department. Her interiors, meanwhile, were from IdeaeITALIA. The yacht was registered under a French flag.
Before the incident, H&CO was on the market asking €8,600,000.
BOAT International will update the story as it develops.
