Standout superyachts spotted in the Caribbean

BOAT keeps an eye on the standout luxury superyachts spotted in cruising in Caribbean waters...

Maltese Falcon and Aquijo

The 85.9 metre sailing ketch Aquijo has been spotted alongside the 88 metre Perini Navi sailing superyacht Maltese Falcon anchored off Christophe Harbour in St Kitts.

Delivered in 2015 by Oceanco and Vitters, Aquijo was designed by Bill Tripp and can accommodate a total of 14 guests and 16 crew members. The 88 metre Maltese Falcon was delivered in 2006 and was built by Perini Navi. Available for charter, Maltese Falcon can accommodate a total of 12 guests and 19 crew.

Mayan Queen IV

Mayan Queen IV left St Vincent and the Grenadines and was photographed cruising off Tobago Cays. She had been in the Caribbean since late 2016 when she moored at St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Delivered by Blohm + Voss in 2008, 93.25 metre Mayan Queen IV is not available for charter. She can sleep up to 16 guests and boasts interiors designed by Terence Disdale.

Gene Machine

Gene Machine had been cruising in the Caribbean for the majority of the winter season when she was spotted in the Bahamas, St. Maarten, St Thomas and Guadeloupe.

The55 metre Amels superyacht was photographed frolicking with a pod of humpback whales in the Dominican Republic, having left the Ocean World Adventure Park. Gene Machine was delivered in 2013.

Axioma

Axioma was spotted off the coast of Gustavia in St Barths.

Sleeping up to 12 guests in six cabins, her interior offers plenty of reasons why celebs love to charter Axioma. Her double height atrium and mezzanine level boasts a luxurious lounge area and cocktail bar. Additionally, she has a spa area complete with sauna and steam room, an indoor cinema room and an elegant dining room.

At 72.5 metres, her expansive deck space has a swimming pool and Jacuzzi, as well as multiple al fresco dining spots and lounge areas.

Delivered by Dunya Yachts in 2013, Axioma is available for charter and is also currently listed for sale.

Solandge

The stunning 85 metre Lürssen superyacht Solandge was photographed in Nassau, Bahamas (pictured right).

Delivered in 2013, she is famous for her extraordinary swimming pool, which leads in via the gymnasium to a beautiful spa, complete with sauna, steam room, massage room and beauty salon. Additionally, she has an outdoor cinema, DJ decks, two Jacuzzis, a bar and plentiful sunbathing and al fresco dining spots.

Solandge can sleep up to 12 guests in six luxurious cabins and boast a private office, cinema, dining room, cocktail lounge and an elegant main saloon. She is also currently listed for sale, asking €155,000,000.

Adastra

One of the most divisive superyachtsAdastra, was spotted in Pointe-à-Pitre in Guadeloupe, having arrived from St Maarten on February 21.

The 42.5 metre trimaran superyacht was built in China and delivered by McConaghy Boats in 2012 and has a range of 10,000 nautical miles. She was designed in Great Britain for the purpose of cruising in Indonesia and other remote destinations.

Le Grand Bleu

The 112.8 metre superyacht Le Grand Bleu was spotted at anchor in St Maarten.

The blue-hulled yacht was originally built for American John McCaw and was subsequently sold to Roman Abramovich. It has been reported that the yacht has since been given to his business partner Eugene Shvidler. Le Grand Bleu was moored close to Abramovich’s 164 metre superyacht Eclipse in St Maarten.

Le Grand Bleu has a crew of 65 and is equipped for a vast array of on water adventures. Stored on board is a 22 metre Dubois-designed sailing yacht and a 21 metre Sunseeker motor yacht. She is also thought to carry a Land Rover for on land excursions.

Okto

The striking 66.4 metre ISA superyacht Okto was spotted in St Barths. The yacht anchored out of Port de Gustavia having previously been moored in St Maarten.

Delivered in 2015, Okto truly is one of a kind with her distinctive lines and unconventional grey and black pinstriped decking. One of her most distinctive features is a six metre swimming pool on her aft deck which is considered to be one of the best superyacht pools in the world

, asking €54,500,000.

Narvalo

Explorer yacht Narvalo was spotted in St Maartens' Cole Bay.

Narvalo was built by Cantiere delle Marche and features interior and exterior design by Nauta Design. She is listed as a finalist for the 2017 ShowBoats Design Awards. At 33.4 metres, she can sleep up to 12 guests in five cabins, which are decked out with light woods, stonework and plenty of natural light thanks to the large windows.

Her sundeck is the perfect spot for watching the world go by as it has a large bar, Jacuzzi and an al fresco cocktail area.

Sybaris

The prolific sailing yacht Sybaris was spotted in the Port of Havana, Cuba having cruised over from Miami (photographed right).

Commissioned by serial yacht owner Bill Dukes, she was delivered last year and is the second largest Parini Navi yacht to date. She features a PH Design interior, and at Monaco Yacht Show 2016 Duker said: "It was designed to be at harmony and a place where you can feel harmonious."
