The venerable canoe-stern motor yacht Lady May of Glandore has been listed for sale by Marco Fodale at Camper & Nicholsons International.
Built in steel and aluminium by British yard Philip & Son to an in-house design and Lloyds classed, she was delivered in 1929 and extensively refitted between 1990 and 1995. An interior featuring warm mahogany panelling throughout accommodates up to nine guests in four cabins comprising a full beam master suite, VIP suite and two twins, all with en suite bathroom facilities. An additional four cabins sleep six crew aboard this yacht for sale.
As well as the interior lounge and dining room, Lady May of Glandore has an al fresco dining table on the aft deck which is large enough to seat eight. On the deck above, a huge expanse of cushioned sun pads provides ample space for lounging and enjoys elevated views.
She has changed hands only a few times in her history, and is still in excellent condition today nearly a century after her construction. Her top speed is 11 knots and she boasts a maximum cruising range of 3,600 nautical miles at 10 knots with power coming from two 152hp Gardner 8L3 diesel engines. For added comfort and safety, she is fitted with zero speed stabilisers.
