Amels reveals Limited Editions 206 yacht concept

Amels reveals Limited Editions 206 yacht concept

The evolution of Amels’ Limited Editions yacht collection continues with the latest model from the Dutch yard, the Limited Editions 206.

Based on the proven platform of the Limited Editions 199, which has already spawned two hulls (Event and Madame Kate), the 206 also features exterior styling by British designer Tim Heywood.

The 206 is available in a wide range of hull finishes, which Amels has demonstrated with preliminary renderings showing a Jet Black version with a contrasting silver superstructure (pictured above).

As the name suggests, the Amels Limited Editions 206 yacht is longer than the 199 and this extra 2.4 metres has been used to extend the bathing platform, which now measures 29 metres square.

Meanwhile, the aft deck has been elongated and the superyacht beach club now spans a total area of 35 square metres. However, the star of the show is arguably the massive superyacht sundeck, which has been stretched to 23 metres long and contains sunpads aft and a hexagonal spa pool forward.

Accommodation is for up to 12 guests in six cabins, including two VIP suites on the bridge deck and a main-deck owner’s cabin complete with port and starboard folding balconies.

Iconic features from the Amels Limited Editions 199 yacht have been retained, such as the large circular portholes and the gull wing doors that provide access to the foredeck tender garage.

Other superyacht projects currently under development at the Dutch yard include the first Amels Limited Editions 188 yacht, which is due for completion next year.
