Turkish shipyard Mengi Yay has announced that refit works are "well underway" on the 37.4-metre motor yacht B121, originally delivered in 2024 by Turkish yard Bering Yachts.
Project R16, the refit programme for B121, began in October 2025 and will span approximately six months to meet her scheduled completion date of April 2026. The yacht's launch is scheduled for March, which will be closely followed by full sea trials and system testing before delivery.
According to the shipyard, the refit is a structural and functional "reinvention" of the yacht. The largest of the works is a two-metre hull extension aft from near midship, designed to enhance operational capabilities and improve stability and seakeeping.
Other major works are taking place within the yacht's beach club; once a leisure area with a sauna and gym, the space will be transformed into a garage for stowing and easy access to one large tender and two Jet Skis.
The ceiling crane and shell door system will also be modified, with a new starboard-side shell door and an overhead lifting solution added to enable smooth and efficient handling of tenders and toys. Another addition is the new upper deck staircase, which will be fabricated and integrated into the superstructure and repainted accordingly.
The news follows the announcement at the start of the year that the 47.9-metre motor yacht Mirabella, originally delivered in 2004 by US yard Trinity Yachts, was also undergoing works at the shipyard.
