Turkish shipyard Turquoise Yachts has announced the launch of the 76.3-metre N2H, formerly known as NB75 Project Arrow. The new build hit the water at the yard's outfitting facilities in Pendik, Istanbul, marking a major milestone as the shipyard's first hybrid superyacht.
N2H was developed to "push boundaries" with its battery-powered hybrid propulsion system, which has been fully integrated with a set of MTU engines. Details of the project previously remained sparse, though exterior styling was entrusted to Italian studio Team for Design - Enrico Gobbi, with British designers H2 Yacht Design chosen for the yacht's interior. The hull and naval architecture were both designed in-house at the yard.
N2H is characterised by a "carefully balanced" sporty profile, with clean, dynamic lines, long, narrow glazing and a sculptural arch (with a large glass surface) crowning the sundeck. Enrico Gobbi, founder of the design studio, explained: "From the meticulous study of lines and shapes, proportions and ergonomics, we created a design that maintains a sleek volume across three decks plus a sun deck. Style and dynamism have been perfectly combined in this project, with nothing left to chance. Even the dual-colour blue and white exterior paint was conceived to create a streamlined profile."
Inside, living spaces benefit from generous headrooms of 2.5 to 2.65 metres on the main deck, lit by bounds of natural light from floor-to-ceiling windows and glass sliding doors. The 1,930GT yacht has an open-plan layout throughout, though it has been carefully segmented to preserve space while simultaneously creating intimate yet functional areas.
Key areas include the main deck saloon, which is divided into a lounge and cinema area by a suspended fireplace, and an expansive beach club-cum-spa-like retreat, with a gym, hammam, sauna and dual folding terraces. The upper deck offers another lounge and cinema space, which opens into a circular dining area with curved glass doors for 180-degree views and direct aft deck access. Crowning the yacht is the sundeck; split into two distinct areas, the space features a forward dining and lounge area (equipped with a pop-up glass windbreak with an integrated TV), while a "social lounge" with sunpads and a pool overlooks the tiered stern.
“N2H was born from a brief to create a true floating villa, with a modern Italian sensibility and a relaxed, residential feel,” shared Jonny Horsfield, founder of H2 Yacht Design. “The interior pairs contemporary furniture with a soft, neutral palette. Leather and bronze detailing add warmth, while oak-ribbed walls and ceilings introduce texture. Expansive sliding doors and folding bulwarks open the interior to the sea, enhancing a flowing layout tailored to the owner’s lifestyle.”
In terms of accommodation, a full-beam owner's suite is situated forward on the main deck, with a central dressing area separating a bedroom to port and an office to starboard. Both areas are equipped with bathrooms and large sliding doors which open onto private folding terraces. Four "generously sized" guest cabins can be found on the lower deck.
What really sets N2H apart, however, is her MTU integrated hybrid propulsion system, which combines twin MTU 12V4000 M65L diesel engines with a 1.5MW lithium battery bank. As a result, the yacht can reach a maximum speed in battery mode of 10 knots, alongside extended periods of emission-free operation, while her maximum speed is 17 knots. Other innovations onboard include a "futuristic" wheelhouse with a Kongsberg Integrated Bridge System and a SEA.AI Sentry system for enhanced situational awareness.
Owner’s representative Maciek Baran shared: "From the outset, this has been a highly engaged process, with a strong focus on quality, innovation and detail at every stage. Working alongside Turquoise has been a truly collaborative experience. Their flexibility, craftsmanship and commitment to delivering a complex, modern yacht have been key to bringing this vision to life." The new build is a successor to the 48.7-metre Rossinavi motor yacht N2H, which was delivered in 2017, also to a design by Team For Design - Enrico Gobbi.
The news follows the launch of the yard's flagship, Angelique, at the start of the year.
"Launching two 80-metre platform yachts in three months is no small feat, and this achievement attests to the Turquoise team’s ability to deliver on the most demanding of tasks," concluded Burak Akgül, CEO of Turquoise Yachts. "Incorporating a range of innovations, N2H underlines Turquoise’s capabilities in designing, engineering and crafting unique yachts for their owners, made possible by the tireless support of all our stakeholders, to whom we are grateful."
Delivery of N2H is scheduled for later this year.
