1. 119m hydrogen Feadship superyacht Breakthrough sold
The world's first hydrogen superyacht, Feadship's 118.8-metre Breakthrough, was sold in-house at Edmiston in what is being called "the most significant brokerage deal in history". The brokerage firm also announced that she has now joined the charter market, with charter guests able to enjoy her "Nikki beach-style" interiors and 8.2-metre swimming pool.

Early this month, the 23.9-metre Medyılmaz motor yacht Dolce Vento made headlines by capsizing immediately after her launch. According to local reports, an alleged stabilisation issue caused the yacht to sink to a depth of seven metres shortly after entering the water.

At this year's Monaco Yacht Show, Polish yard Sunreef Yachts revealed its most ambitious design to date: a 65-metre catamaran model. With a volume of 1,800GT, the 65M Explorer would be the world's largest catamaran once built and promises "extraordinary comfort, long-range efficiency and explorer-level autonomy".

This month, the 76.5-metre motor yacht Boardwalk was listed for sale for the first time since her 2021 delivery. She was commissioned by American businessman and hospitality magnate Tilman Fertitta, also an experienced and serial yacht owner, who worked closely with interior designer Amy Halffman to create a highly customised yacht with "optimised functionality, comfort and ambience".

Indonesia took a step toward positioning itself on the global yachting map with the unveiling of Bali Gapura Marina, the country’s first international full-service marina. This month, Italian yard Extra Yachts unveiled its latest model, a 44-metre explorer yacht known as the X145 Global. Five decks hold a "game-changing" distribution of space, with the five guest cabins all located on the main deck to take full advantage of the 9.1-metre beam. A dominant vertical bow and steel hull with low bulwarks characterise her exterior, owed to Italian designer Agon Studio.

British yard Sunseeker took the opportunity of the Cannes Yachting Festival to release a new model known as the Sunseeker 40M. Veteran Italian designer and first-time Sunseeker collaborator Francesco Paszkowski is behind the design, characterised by a subtly curved superstructure, tapered glazing and a dual-tone exterior.

Measuring 50.5 metres and 499GT, Mission M can accommodate commercial-grade, heavy-duty equipment for operations in both tropical and Arctic remote regions.

Legendary Italian fashion designer, billionaire and yacht owner Giorgio Armani has died aged 91. He passed "peacefully [and] surrounded by his loved ones," according to a statement released by the company. Armani was an avid sailor, reflected in his company's sponsorship of the Giorgio Armani Superyacht Regatta, as well as his many private yachts.
