Irish boxer Conor McGregor has been captured enjoying a break on board the 91.4 metre Neorion-built superyacht Moonlight II, which is currently moored in Abu Dhabi. Built in 2005, Moonlight II was designed by Lally Poulias with Murray & Associates and Alpha Marine penning the naval architecture. Accommodation on board is for a total of 36 guests and 34 crew members.
Spotted: Celebrities on superyachts
Sustainability entrepreneur and former Formula 1 champion Nico Rosberg has been photographed soaking up the sun on board Sunreef Yachts' electric catamaran model. It comes after Rosberg became Sunreef's eco brand ambassador earlier this year to coincide with the yard launching a full range of eco catamarans packed with green technologies.
The international tennis superstar Rafael Nadal has been spotted enjoying his brand new 80 Sunreef Power yacht Great White, which was delivered just last month. Nadal commissioned the fully customised 24.4 metre power catamaran last year after chartering a number of Sunreef catamarans. The yacht hit the water at the Gdask based yard and was delivered to Nadal's hometown of Mallorca last month.
The wife of the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Jada Pinkett-Smith, was seen soaking up some sun on board a superyacht at the beginning of summer. Together with her husband Will and their two children Willow and Jayden, the Smiths spent a family vacation cruising around the coasts of Greece. This was not the first time the family have chartered a superyacht; Smith's husband was spotted together with fellow actor Denzel Washington on board 52.4 metre Baglietto yacht Mischief back in 2016.
In September 2019, Latin-American singer and actress Jennifer Lopez was spotted aboard the 55 metre Heesen superyacht Quite Essential. Delivered in 2011, the colourful exterior of Quite Essential is instantly recognisable with it's burgundy accents. Lopez was seen chartering the yacht together with fiancé Alex Rodriguez, soaking up some September sun along the coast of Monaco. The mother of two was seen posing for shots on the upper-deck diving board.
The billionaire businesswoman and founder of Kylie Cosmetics chartered Oceanco-built superyacht Tranquility for her 22nd birthday bash in August 2019. Together with friends and family, including her boyfriend Travis Scott, their daughter Stormi and the rest of the Kardashian clan, Kylie cruised along the coast of Capri in Italy on board the 91.5 metre superyacht.
Chrissy Teigen, John Legend and family
Singer/songwriter John Legend and wife Chrissy Teigen were spotted enjoying a summer vacation on board 42.7 metre Cantieri di Pisa Element. The Hollywood power couple spent a week cruising the Italian Riviera with their two children Luna and Miles, making stops in Portofino and Cinque Terre. Posting pictures of their idyllic holiday on Instagram, they are seen tucking into slices of pizza, sampling true Italian gelato, and sipping on pale sparkling rosé from John Legend's own wine label LVE. Element is managed for charter with Edmiston.
Priyanka Chopra, Sophie Turner and the Jonas Brothers
Actresses Priyanka Chopra and Sophie Turner were spotted enjoying some early spring sunshine on board a yacht with their respective partners, brothers and bandmates Nick and Joe Jonas, in March 2019. The group was joined by the third Jonas brother, Kevin, along with friends Mike Deleasa and Chase Foster in Miami Beach where they spent the day cruising the famous Florida coastline, yacht spotting and dancing on the foredeck.
American musician Cardi B was spotted enjoying some early spring sunshine on board the 30 metre Azimut superyacht Ganesh A in Los Cabos, Mexico in March 2019. Clearly enjoying her time on board the vessel, she shared a number of social media posts touring the superyacht - which sports interior design by Carlo Galeazzi inspired by Hollywood stars such as Marilyn Monroe - as well as videos of a magnificent on board feast and the yacht underway with dolphins swimming off the stern.
Music star Ed Sheeran demonstrated the true meaning of down time when he shared this image of himself relaxing on board in January 2019. Like any safety-conscious star, Sheeran was joined by his security guard Kevin Myers, jokingly captioning the picture, "A rare sight of me reading a book and @securitykev bird watching." Although Sheeran did not reveal which yacht he had chosen for his holiday, it seems it provided the ideal location for a little rest and relaxation during time off from his world tour.
Of course, this is not the singer's first time on board. As far back as 2014 Sheeran was seen on board a classic yacht in Ibiza while in 2015 he underwent surgery to repair an eardrum burst when jumping off a yacht in Spain. The experience did not deter him, however, and the star was most recently seen on board Mizu in 2018 when he guest starred in Taylor Swift's End Game music video which was filmed on the 53 metre yacht.
