Spotted: Celebrities on superyachts

Even celebrities need to get away from it all. From the Caribbean to the Mediterranean, BOAT spots the celebrities choosing to enjoy their well earned holidays on board some of the most glamorous superyachts in the world, including David Beckham, Jennifer Lopez and Leonardo DiCaprio.

Leonardo DiCaprio

Oscar-winning actor Leonardo DiCaprio was spotted sunbathing on Devonport's 96 metre flagship Vava II, after reportedly seeing in the new year with Amazon founder Jeff Bezos. Launched in 2012, the yacht sports an exterior by RWD, while studio Rémi Tessier penned the interiors. Vava II has accommodation for an impressive 36 guests and features a large beach club at the stern, where DiCaprio was sighted topping up his tan. 

Elton John and Victoria and David Beckham

Reports that David Beckham and wife Victoria have bought a 30 metre Ferretti superyacht emerged in 2021. The couple is known to enjoy cruising and has even been pictured on board a luxury yacht in the south of France with music legend Elton John. The Beckhams, who were joined by their children Romeo, Brooklyn, Cruz and Harper, and spent the day with Elton John and David Furnish on board a Riva yacht in Cannes before cruising to the island of Île Sainte-Marguerite for lunch.

Beyoncé and Jay Z

Celebrity power couple Beyoncé and Jay-Z have been spotted cruising the French Riviera on board the 136 metre Lürssen superyacht Flying Fox. The couple were noticeably absent from this year's Met Gala and were soon tracked down enjoying the Mediterranean sun on board the world's most expensive charter yacht. The couple are no strangers to superyacht getaways and have been previously spotted on board the 95.2 metre Lürssen superyacht Kismet and 107m Benetti superyacht Lana.

Kendall Jenner

Model and reality TV star Kendall Jenner took some time off in the 2021 summer season in Sardinia on board the 49.9 metre CBI Navi superyacht Eleni. First launched in 2005, Eleni can accommodate a total of 12 guests on board and features an opulent interior penned by Luca Dini. Eleni is well equipped for an action-packed charter and carries an inflatable slide, two Sea Doo jet skis and two Sea Bobs. 

Paris Hilton

Hilton hotel heiress Paris Hilton has been spotted holidaying in Corsica on board the 80 Sunreef Power catamaran Otoctone 80. First launched in 2020 as the second hull in Sunreef's 80 Sunreef Power series, Otoctone 80 is spending the summer season chartering in the Mediterranean. Paris Hilton isn't the only celebrity to favour the Sunreef brand. Tennis superstar Rafael Nadal also owns an 80 Sunreef Power catamaran named Great White. 

Robbie Williams

The former Take That singer Robbie Williams has been spotted enjoying a sun-soaked holiday in Turkey on board the 43.2 metre Trinity Yachts superyacht Keyla. Sporting interiors from Hot Lab, the yacht was delivered in 2003 as one of four 142 models built by the yard. Previously called Stanley Z, Keyla features accommodation for 10 guests in five cabins and seven crew. Keyla has a top speed of 18.5 knots, with a range of 3,500 nautical miles.

Conor McGregor

Irish boxer Conor McGregor was captured enjoying a break on board the 91.4 metre Neorion-built superyacht Moonlight II, which was moored in Abu Dhabi. First delivered in 2005, Moonlight II features a massive 2982GT with accommodation for a whopping 36 guests in 18 staterooms, and 34 crew. Moonlight II is in the largest 5% of yachts in the world and is one of 34 motor yachts in the 90-100m size range around the world. Conor McGregor also been revealed as the owner of a recently completed Tecnomar For Lamborghini 63 yacht.


Nico Rosberg

Former Formula 1 champion Nico Rosberg was photographed soaking up the sun on board Sunreef Yachts' first electric catamaran model. Earlier this year, the yard revealed an Eco Line of motor and sailing catamarans packed with green technologies, which range from 12.1 metres to 30.48 metres, and unveiled Rosberg as its eco brand ambassador. 

Rafael Nadal

The international tennis superstar Rafael Nadal was spotted enjoying his new 80 Sunreef Power yacht Great White, which was delivered in June 2020. Nadal commissioned the fully customised 24.4 metre power catamaran in 2019 after chartering a number of Sunreef catamarans. The yacht hit the water at the Gdask based yard and was delivered to Nadal's hometown of Mallorca.

Jada Pinkett-Smith

The wife of the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Jada Pinkett-Smith, was seen soaking up some sun on board a superyacht at the beginning of the 2020 summer season. Together with her husband Will and their two children Willow and Jayden, the Smiths spent a family vacation cruising around the coasts of Greece. This was not the first time the family have chartered a superyacht; Smith's husband was spotted together with fellow actor Denzel Washington on board 52.4 metre Baglietto yacht Mischief back in 2016.
